Dale Cleaners' Meridian Wedding Gown Cleaning Preservation You only wore it once on that special day, but you want to keep your wedding gown, like your memories, preserved in the best way. Dale Cleaners offers the finest: the Meridian Wedding Gown Preservation System®. The only gown preservation system that follows The Smithsonian Institutes's garment preservation standards. We at Dale Cleaners understand the time and care you put into choosing this special dress, and we take time and care in the cleaning of your gown. Each gown is assigned a wedding gown specialist. Meridian Preservation System® 1.Intensive inspection by your wedding gown specialist An examination identifying and marking for the proper pre-treatment of the varied types of stains begins this very detailed process. 2.Preservation Cleaning After a thorough pre-spotting each gown under goes a specialized cleaning process made to deal with the hidden stains and substances not visible after conventional cleaning but still a danger to your gown. 3.Preservation Boxing. Your gown is then finished (hand pressed) and carefully arranged around a body form in an acid free box, with acid-free tissue, presentation style and visible though the large viewing window. 4.Sealing and helium treatment of the preservation box The box with your gown is then vacuum sealed in plastic (guard against moisture); the oxygen is purged out and replaced with an inert gas (helium) as a guard against oxidizing. 5.Final boxing and a life time of memories are assured This sealed box is placed inside another box (with a convenient handle) insuring the integrity of your preserved wedding gown for many years to come.
